Daughters and Aging Parents

Helping Mom & Dad Stay at Home
Tuesday, May 7: 7:00 to 8:30 pm
Mom or Dad may still be living in a beautiful suburban home but due to aging related losses and illness may be at risk of becoming socially isolated, malnourished and self neglectful. Families often struggle with how to best help an aging parent remain at home safely and comfortably. A geriatric social worker will share information on the signs to look for to determine if help is needed and community resources to support your parent.
Considering Long Term Care Insurance?
Tuesday, June 4: 7:00 to 8:30 pm
This is a “crash course” focusing on the basics of long term care insurance. Learn about how this kind of insurance so that you can decide whether it is right for you. This “for beginners” workshop is specially geared for people who need an easy to understand guide to this important topic. The instructor is a licensed geriatric social worker and licensed insurance agent, specializing in long term care.
